EXPORT OF CHILLED BEEF. WEEKLY SHIPMENTS WANTED. DEMAND AT SMITHFIELD. [Per Press Association. — Copyright .l MASTERTON, This Day. Evidence of the remarkable pi’ogress made in the past two years in the development of an export trade in chilled beef is contained in an announcement that three shipments, totalling over 3000 quarters, will be made this month by Borthwicks from the Waingawa works. In the recent j past the firm has been making monthly shipments, but Mr P. Borthwick j said today that weekly shipments 1 were wanted now. The beef available, he said, was of wonderful qual-! ity, and prices realised at Home were j just a little .below the best Argentine. There was a good demand at Smith- j field for New Zealand shipments. }
