AUSTRALIA REACHED
MISS FREDA THOMPSON (Received 12.30 p.m.) DARWIN, This Day. Miss Freda Thompson, of Melbourne, has reached here after a leisurely flight from England. She declared that she had had a lovely trip over the Timor Sea. Miss Thompson, who is the third woman to fly solo to Australia, wrecked her plane while landing in darkness at Athens a few weeks ago, on the occasion of her first attempt to make the flight.
