BOWLS AND WRESTLING (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, August 9. At tho Empire Games, in the boAvls singles, New Zealand lost to England 8—21; in the rinks, New Zealand lost to England, 16 —28. In the heavyweight wrestling, Knight (Australia), Avho was competing at his OAvn expense, defeated P. Meehan (Canada) on points after 16 minutes, and ho had a convincing win over Taylor (England) in a bout lasting just under four minutes.

In the lightweight section, Garrard (Australia) beat North (England) in two minutes.
