BENEFIT DAY
RUGBY UNION APPEAL. ATTRACTIVE SENIOR GAME. Saturday next has been set aside as benefit day by the Whangarei Rugby Union. The proceeds ayIU lie shared between the Whangarei Y.M.C.A. St. John Ambulance Brigade and Mr J, Gardner, the Horn Horn player, who is still under treatment for an injury ho received last year. The principal attraction will bo a game between town and country seniors. The teams announced are: — Country (selected by Mr C. Child). — Rarity, Edge, F, Tapper, W. Tapper, B. Morrosoy, E. Child, Weir, Cuff, J. Rika, Brydon, J. Alison, M. Rika, F. O’Shea, McTnncs, Finlnyson. Emergencies: P. Morrosoy and W. Shorthand. Town (Chosen by Mr W, C. Cooto) : Jones, C. Wells. Ford, Courtney, Bindon, M, Rika, Utntonga, and To Pan (Hera Horn), Gardner, Shepherd, Birch, Rooa, Sterling, Dent, Godfrey, and Procter (City),. Saul, Collins, Tucker, Bradley, ITardio (Old Boys)., . Any player unable to take part in the match is requested - to notify the union secretary at once.
