STRUCK BY TREE TRUNK

MAEEIED MAN KILLED. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) MASTERTON, This Day. Mr lan. Donald McKenzie, a married man, lost his life as the result of a fatality at his home at Whareama, about 30 miles from Masterton on Sunday evening. The accident •occurred at 0 o’clock. In company 'with four other men, Mr McKenzie was loading two gum tree trunks on to a lorry. There were several bales of wool already on the lorry, and the tree trunks were each about 45 feet long. One ti-ee was successfully loaded, and while the party was loading the other it suddenly slipped and rolled to the ground, there striking Mr McKenzie heavily in the chest and killing him.
