SUICIDE INDICATED

MAN DEAD ON HIGHWAY. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) PALMERSTON N., Thursday. A middle-aged man, William Marks, was found dead, with a gunshot wound in the head, on the Longburn-Eongo-tea Eoad yesterday, A gun with one barrel discharged was nearby. Deceased was at one time attached to the racing stable of Mr H. Lorigan, at Trentham. He came here after the Otaki meeting and has no relatives in the district. He is believed to have a brother at Christchurch.
