LEAGUE ASSEMBLY
THREE WEEKS * POSTPONEMENT. TO MEET ON SEPTEMBER 25. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 9 a.m.) RUGBY, July 19. The annual meeting of the League of Nations assembly, which was due to begin on September 4, has been postponed until September 25. The Secretariat decided on this step after consultation with the various governments, partly because of the continuation of the Economic Conference until July 27, and partly to give time to the development of negotiations upon which the president of the Disarmament Conference, Mr Arthur Henderson, is engaged. The League Council will meet on September 22.
