SINGLE MEN’S CAMPS
NO COMPLAINTS. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Replying to a question by Air C. L. Carr (Labour —Timaru) in the House of Representatives yesterday, the Et. Hon J. G. Coates, Minister in Charge of Unemployment, said the Government had received no intimation of any discontent in the single men's unemployment camps. Mr Carr had alleged that six of his constituents had walked 150 miles home rather than endure the conditions under which they were living in the camps.
