BOMBS FROM THE AIR

ATTEMPT TO SINK CENTURION. NORTH SEA EXPERIMENT. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 14. Tests in which squadrons of bombing .aeroplanes will endeavour to sink the heavily armed and wireless controlled pre-war battleship Centurion, will shortly be carried out in the North Sea. It is hoped to obtain valuable information on the effectiveness of air attacks. Should the bombers fail to sink the Centurion, aircraft carrying torpedoes weighing a ton each will swoop down and launch their missiles.
