(From Our Own Correspondent.) Rugby Football Club. The annual meeting of the local Rugby football club was bold in the Public Library on Wednesday, April •Ist. The following members wore present: Messrs M. J. Byrt, A. B. Millet, S. W. Crawford, L. O’Carroll, L. Child, F. Lilt, T. Coleman, A. Hayward, H. Crawford, B. Mathews, R. Thomson, G. Wallace, T. O’Shea, R. Perigo, H. Harvey and A. McLennan. Owing to the unavoidable absence of the president, Mr T. O’Carroll, Mr S. W. Crawford was voted to the chair. The /secretary,< Mr A. McLennan, presented the balance-sheet for the past year, showing a credit balance of $lB 18s. This was duly adopted. It was decided, on the motion of Mr Miller, to enter a senior team this season for the 'competition. The following officers and committee were deeded:- —Patron, Mr W. Crawford; president, Mr T. O’Carroll-vice-presidents, Messrs M. J. Byrt, O. Child, O. Child, W. Cbdlin, 6. Allcock, M. Morresey, A. Hayward, A. Telfcr, A, B. Miller, W. H. Gillingham, A. E. Spinley, S. W. Crawford, A. Crawford, H. Crawford, N. Sloano and J. Nash; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Harvey; management committee, Messrs T. O’Shea, C. Child and H. Harvey; selectors, Messrs (Jlcv.) M. J. Byrt, T. O’Shea and C. Child; delegate to Whangarei Rugby Union, Mr A.eo. Garry (failing him Mr Byrt). It was decided to open an account at the Maungakaramca Post Offic-J to bo operated an by two. trustees —the president and secretary. It was left to the management committee to arrange the date of the first practice. Oh the proposal of Mr Alex McLennan, the secretary was instruct' ed to write to the Whangarci Rugby Uhion a skill g them to release the suspension passed upon G. Wallace. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the out-going secretary, Mr A. McLennan, for his services to the dub. Personal. Mrs Winkelman, of Dblnini’oh Road, Auckland, is on a visit to iier parents, Mr and Mrs F. Walker. Mrs K, McLennan, of Taheke, is staying with her people in ’.Karamea on holiday. The Misses Doreen and Freda Gillingham, of Auckland, are here for the wedding of their cousin, Miss M. Gillingham. > Mr R. J. Thonison left for Auckland last week on a short holiday.
