TWO MEN FOUND GUILTY. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, Tills Bay. At the Supremo Court, J’. C. Ilex, a printer, was convicted on charges of indecency with a recommendation to mercy owing to his previous good character. J. C. Tnrvey, charged with stealing 80 sovereigns and receiving £O4, knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained was found guilty of receiving. The defence was that it was a put up job against the accused, but the judge pointed out that one day Turvey had nothing - , and the next day lie had a large number of sovereigns, while the prosecutor, at about the same time, had lost his sovereigns.
