COMMONWEALTH SLUMP
AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE. (Received 10.57 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Owing to the further decline in wool values this week, arrangements have been made for' a joint meeting of the Australian Wool-growers’(Coun-cil and the National Council of Woolselling Brokers in Melbourne next Wednesday to review the position.
It is likely that further curtailment of offerings will be discussed. The sales in Adelaide have been postponed. Growers are very dissatisfied with the present position and would welcome any .proposal for restoring confidence in the market.
