SOUTH AFRICAN FARMERS
VISIT TO NORTH. ONE DAY IN WHANG ABET. Mr A. W. Wellstead, Business Manager, Now Zealand Railways, was in Whangarei yesterday finalising transport arrangements for the party of South African farmers who will visit, the North this month.
The South Africans, whose tour has been organised under the auspices of the Now Zealand Farmers’ Union, will land in Auckland on February .18 or 19, by the UUmaroa, end will leave Auckland for Dargaville on Thursday, February 20. At Kirikopuni they will be mot by members of the Dargaville branch of the Farmers’ Union and will spend the night at the Western centre. The next day they will visit Trounson Park and then motor across to Whangarei. On Saturday, February 22, they will leave by the express to spend the week-end in Russell, returning to Auckland by Monday’s express.
