(Received "10.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Jack Arnott, one of the most popular and capable track riders, was hilled; instantly in ; a crash at the Pavis Park speedway. Arnott was thrown clear of the

rack and two other riders managed to avoid him. The third, however, after a frantic effort to stop, crashed ■’ito Arnott's prostrate form. Arnott was a native of New Zealand here he won numerous championships, :nd he also held several Australian records. He was 24 years of age. His idow and children reside in New '’oaland.
