MILITARY BOXING CLUB
TH ANKS.
The club having closed down successfully for 4he season, I feel :that it is my duty as well as my privilege to extend my personal thanks to all those who helped make the past two tourneys the successes they prayed to be. X thank all officials', contestants, house assistants, officers of the Defence Department. Police, "Northern Advocate,” donors of trophies, and last but not least, patrons, for their splendid support on both occasions. Special thanks is due to Mr Trowern, the club coach, for his valuable services under conditions which lit is hoped will be improved on future occasions.
It is the aim of the club to give the public clean sport, and to carefully look after our boys, giving them the opportunity of attaining a high standard of efficiency, both physically and morally. I desire also to pay tribute to the club’s secretary, Corpl. R, <S, Barnes, N.Z.P.S., for the faithful manner in which he has paid attention to his work. I also thank the committee for their co-operation in the aiministration of the club’s ,affairs. .At all times it has been a pleasure to work with them.
