MOTOR CYCLE SPORTS
KENSINGTON ON SATURDAY.
Although there was keen disappointment felt at the postponement of the Motor Cycle Sports on Labour Day, it lis more than probable that the delay is a blessing in disguise, for in the meantime several new motors have arrived and these will now be seen in operation for the (first time at Whangarei. Two of these new engines have recently created new .world’s records on the famous French speedway and should be capable of demonstrating something exceptional on the grass. The drainage at Kensington Park must be remarkably good, since several riders, even after the heavy rain of the week end, lapped the course in very fast time on Monday afternoon. Should the weather stay fine from Friday onward, the prospects for thrilling racing are of the best. 668
