(Per Press Association. —Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The second day of the N.Z. Metropolitan Trotting Club's carnival meeting at Addington is taking place in fine -weather, with a large attendance and the track in good order. Results:
Whiteleigh Handicap, of 350 sovs; one mile and a half. —(2) Lazarus, 24yds, 1; (10) Peter Lin, scr, 2; (3) Dolores, 24yds, 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time.—3min 25sec. N.Z. Derby Stakes, of 1000 soys; one mile and a half (for three-year-olds), —(3) Purser 1, (4) Royal Silk 2, (2) Ngingo Ngingo 3. All .started. Won by half a length. Time, —3m,in 22 l-ssec. Courtnay Handicap, of 1000 sovs; two miles.—(s) Dilworth, scr, 1; (2) Maiwhariti, scr, 2; (4) Torpedo Huon, scr, 3; (8) Pluto, ser, 4. All started. Won by three lengths. Time—4min 26sec. N.Z. TROTTING CUP. Of 4000 sovs. Two . miles. 3—PETER BINGEN, 36yds, .. 1 2 —LO6A/N PARK,‘ser 2 5 DVNDAS BOY, ser 3 6 IMPRINT, ser 4 All started. Won by two lengths. Time—4,lß 4-5. Kingcraft, the first favourite broke badly at the start and Imprint gas the early leader, but Peter Bingen took the lead in the straight, heading Logan Park half way to the judget's box. The time was a Dominion record.
