WELLINGTON, This Day,

The Minister of Education, the Hon. H. Atmore, has consulted the Parliamentary Committee on Education, and arranged a general plan covering personal visits and investigation into all phases of New Zealand’s educational activities in the North and South Islands.

It is proposed to commence the Inquiry in Auckland on Monday, November IS, and the commission will visit » large number of North Island centres. The details of the itinerary depend on the extent of the work which develops. Written evidence is being invited from those interested.

The committee will spend its first day in Auckland in visiting the University College, the Seddon Technical High School, and the Jubilee Institute for the Blind. On Tuesday visits will be made to the Mount Eden Primary School, the Kowhai Junior High School, and the Auckland Grammar School, and evidence will bo taken in the evening. j

Later in the week the committee will visit Pukckohe.
