WHANGAREI FRIVOLITY MINSTRELS
“GET A MOVE ON." “Get a Move On” is an entertainment redolent of wit, fun and variety, with good clean humour always the keynote, Quartettes, duets, solos, jokes, sketches, negro melodies, dances, etc., will follow each other with lightning rapidity and the troupe can assure patrons that there will not be a dull minute in the show. The jocular moments are in the hands of Messrs Percy Everett, George Reid, Frank Howie and George Rhodes (Purse, Tarabo, Bones and Dusty, respectively), the corner men, who are sure to please with their quick succession of gags, jokcsi, and songs. artists will be assisted by Mr George Larking in the role of interlocutor. Mr Everett, who needs no introduction to Whangarei playgoers, has had a considerable amount of experience as a comedian, and his very appearance in different character roles is quite sufficient to set the audience agog with giggles. In his duet with Mr Frank Howie, he Will bo seen as an overgrown schoolboy, and this item alone is enopgh to send the audience home with aching sides. The “Hilaric Four“ have definitely pledged themselves to appear on both nights, despite previous engagements in New York and Kami, and as this combination of world-famous harmonising vocalists is the best quartette (in its own special sphere) south of the South Pole, this item will also bo a sure-fire hit, A hint of other numbers of merit will be given tomorrow and in later issues of the “Advocate.’ * 23fl
