TOWN HALL —TONIGHT. LON CHANEY IN ‘ 'MOCKERY. ” Lon Chaney, the master character artist of the screen, surpasses his amazing performances of “The Road to Mandalay,” “Mr Wu,” “Huiichback of Notre Dame” and “The Unknown,” in the Metro Goldwyn release “Mockery.” This remarkable picture stars not only Chaney but also the favourites, (Barbara Bedford and Ricardo Cortez. The scenes of the story are laid in Russia during the time of ' the Red Terror when Sergei, a dull-witted peasant played by Chaney, aids a beautiful aristocratic girl to escape the terrors of the Red army. Her escape and following romance with Dimitri, a White officer, forms a happy conclusion to a wonderful picture.
