GIRL GUIDES' CONCERT
WEATHER AFFECTS ATTEND* . ANCE. EXCELLENT PROGRAMME. Unpleasant weather conditions last night had a damaging effect on the attendance at the concert given in the Town Hall by the Whangarei 'Girl Guides, in aid of the camp funds. It was distinctly unfortunate that such conditions prevailed, as the programme presented was of a most entertaining and diversified nature, ranging from Brownies' songs and sketches /to amazing gymnastic “stunts." The Municipal Band was in attendance and played several selections, -

Holmes, 0. Baigent, J. Clhffke, ' A, Dent, and Ranger G. Ruddell; ballet dance; camp-fire ceremony and com* pany sing-song. His Worship the Mayor, Mr L. -J. Brake, spoke An congratulatory terms of the Guides and the promoters of the concert.
