Mr W. a'ones, M,P. for Marsden, returned to Whangaroi yesterday.

Cr D, Meikle is an inmate of a hospital in Auckland for the purpose of undergoing an operation. Mr F. Bird, Registrar of Electors, is paying an official visit to the southern portion of the Marsden electorate.

The Waikato Hospital -Board today appointed Dr S. A. Graham, of To Kuiti, as assistant surgical superintendent.

The Marine Department has appointed Mr George Laurens on, A.M.1.C.E., as Resident Marine Engineer for the Westport harbour.

The Rev. J. Rich, curate jat Olaudelands, and formerly of Whahgaroi, has accepted an appointment as curate at Mcrivalc, Christchurch. Mr -Rich takes up his new appointment on November 27.
