"Wliile Mr W. T. Cosgrave, President of the Irish Free State, is a guest, of the City, Mr Eamonn de Valera is staying at a Ideal hotel, neither taking official cognizance of the other's presence. Mr Cosgrave, at a luncheon, outlined the financial condition of Ireland and described the economic policies ■which his Government intends to pursue.—X. and N.Z.
