TO RECOVER A DECK CHAIR.

It is a much prettier idea to cover a deck chair with cretonne than with the usual canvas material. It is better to buy a good strong cretonne or else cover the old canvas with the new material. Make a cushion for the head, and another square one, also a large “pouf” which rd most useful to stand a tea-tray upon, or for books or nee die-work. Then you will be really comfy in the garden! Kapok, a vegetable “down” which can be bought hy the pound, and is quite cheap, is very good stuffing for the cushions, and the covers can all be made detachable so that they can be washed. These cretonne deck chair covers look very gay in the garden, and so much prettier than the ordinary canvas covering.
