WHANGAREI CONTESTS.

Tire fifteenth annual trials of the Whangarei County Sheep Dog Trial Club are being held today at Mr D. J. Finlayson’s paddock, Kamo. The weather is very good, not being too hot; it will be excellent for the dogs. The sheep are a splendid lot and so far the working of the dogs is very satisfactory. There is also a good attendance of the public. The ladies of the Catholic Church committee are attending to the catering, and the officials of the Club are doing their utmost to make the meeting a success. An early start was made with the short head, drive and yard event.
