WESTERN MAORI ELECTION. ADJOURNMENT TILL TUESDAY. , TAURANGA, This Day. The hearing of evidence in the Western Maori election petition case closed yesterday afternoon, o.nd the hearing was adjourned to the Supreme Court at Auckland next Tuesday. Several witnesses wero examined as to the alleged drinking at Muir's Mines on the day of Sir Maui Pomare's meeting there, and two of Muir's servants were brought in by car to give evidence. They stated that they saw no liquor there nor *inv being served to Natives, nor were any drunk on that occasion.—Press Assn.
