INSURANCES TOTAL £208,000

EFFECTED IN LONDON

Information is now to hand that the insurances held by the Whangarei Freezing Company on their works at Reotahi, whic n were seriously dam. aged by fire on Saturday to the estimated extent of £100,000, aggregate £208,000. All the risks are held in London.

The works, which covered about "an acre and a-quarter of ground, were built in 1911 by Mr A. Bevins, at a cost of £25,000, and were taken over in 1913 by (he Whangarei Freezing Company, Ltd: They have been added to extensively in later years, and the storage department had been enlarged quite recently.
