Our belief in God should go hand-in-hand with our common-sense. We believed the broad teaching's of Christ, that a Christian must n"ver give .way to revenge. He miut.show forbearance so long as there was a-chance of doing- its work. Rut nowhere could he find an utterance of Christ that should warrant any Christian man standing , by while some ruffian outraged a child.. 'Ho ('Mr Isitt) would risk losing the inheritance of Heaven and enduring the sufferings of Hell before he would da that.
