HACK UP PRESIDENT WILSON
The Uuited States National Farmers' Conference, be; 1 at Washington iniMay last, declared very strongly in support of President Wilson's Peace policy. The full text of their de duration on international questions is as follows: —
The farmers of America implicitly follow the world's leading democrat, President Wo'odrow Wilson, in his determinatiori to make this the world's last war by the application of the principles which alone will prevent war. We hold the following to be essential to prevent wars between nations in the future: -
1. Recognition of the common interests of the 'working people of all countries, regardless of the form of political g-overnment under which they live.
2. International control over international trade and international investment.
3. Freedom of production, and uniform and equally free exchange between all peoples,
4. Termination of a'l secret treaties and understandings between nations.
5. Ciradual reduction of armaments
G. International control over the occupation and development of backward countries, subject always to the right of small and uackward peoples to self-determination.
7. Complete and direct control of the peoples of every rstablished country "of their own govftrmhent.
8. Unrestricted pa-ssag.r for legiti, mate commerce over land and sea.
