The Hon. Dr. - McNab, Minister for Justice and Marine, was in Dargaville last week on a recruiting mission.

A hospital progress report says: Progressing satisfactorily, Private T. A. Steel and Trooper E. Warming, ton; seriously ill, Rifleman R. Hunter. The death is reported of Mr William Jackson, of Hikurangi. The deceased had reached the ripe age of 79 years. The interment will take, place at Kauri Cemetery at 2 p.m., Tuesday.
