Felix Gengler is in the State penitentiary, Ohio, charged with attempting to kill his daughter, Catharine.
The man attacked her with a butcher's knife, but she picked up a brick anad struck him, knocking him down. As he was rising again she made a blow at his hand with a club, thinking to knock the knife out of his grasp, but missed her aim and struck him on the head, fracturing his skull.
