INJURING A DETECTIVE.
CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 22
Tn the case of W. Harper charged with causing bodily harm to Detective Carney on July 25 with intent to resist lawful apprehension, the Crown Prosecutor explained that the prisoner was already under sentence of two years' reformative treatment, but was out on license at the time of the present offence Accused's term did not expire until December 5. His Honour sentenced prisoner to a further term of six months' reformative treatment. t
