CUNNING SPY WORK.
FORTRESS PLANS COPIED.
TATTOOED ON GIRL'S SHOULDERS
(Received Feb. 14, 8.20 a.m.)
LONDON, Feb. 13
■The "Daily Telegraph" states that the court-martial of Lieut. Schrooder will commence shortly.
, He is charged with accepting five thousand pounds sterling from a Russian secret agent for a plan of the fortress of Posen.
Finding it impossible to purloin a plan, a girl named Ida Nullerthal, whom Schrooder engaged to marry, suggested that a plan should be tattooed on her shoulders. After several nights this was accomplished, and the girl travelled to Russia and received the money.
The extravagance of the couple resulted in suspicion. Both were arrested, and the incriminating plan was found when the girl was stripped and examined in prison.
