FIRE AT MORNINGSIDE.

FIVE-ROOMED HOUSE

(Special Correspondent.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 12. A fire occurred last night at Morningside, resulting in the complete destruction of a five-roomed house. The house was occupied by Mr Willis, and at the time of the outbreak only the children were on the premises. Exactly how the fire started is not known, but the children, finding the house on fire, rushed into the street, and an alarm was given to the Mount Albert Fire Brigade, which responded quickly, and on arrival extinguished the flames, but not before the house was doomed. The house was owned by Mrs Paterson, of New North-road. The insurances are not available yet.
