FISHING

Messrs W. Proctor, F. Stewart and T. Gilchrist, who spent four days at the Poolburn Dam lastweek, reported excellent fishing conditions. Eighty-eight fish were caught weighing 179 lbs, all in splendid condition. The fish were taking the fly, minnow and worm, although it was noticeable that they were not taking very well on the fly in the evening. Several other fishermen have been visiting Poolburn and all report having had good success —Messrs D. Broad, A. Broad, and R. Steele all taking good bags.
