Bahs May Not Be Surrendered to Russia
Received Tuesday 8.10 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 27. The Swedish authorities are carrying carrying out a last-minute re-examina-tion of the 157 Balts scheduled for surrender to Russia, says the Daily Telegraph’s Stockholm correspondent. The Balts were to go with 2000 German troops. Th© Swedish Cabinet, convened by the King, made the decision in response to public demonstrations by Swedes and a plea from the Balts. King Gustav cancelled a proposed visit to the opera for fear of further demonstrations against the Government’s earlier decision to hand over all the Balts.
