Mister ton Interhouse
A brilliant scene of pageantry was seen by a crowd of 2000 at the Masterton Park oval on Saturday afternoon at tho Wairarapa Interhouse Association’s annual marching championships. Thero were 220 beautifully-costumed girls on parade. An exceptionally high standard of marching was set in spite of the strong wind. The Wairarapa championship was won by Hugos, Ltd. (Mostorton). Tho winners gave an outstanding display of precision marching. The cup competed for by Wellington, Hutt and Pahiatua teams, was won by Pringles (Pahiatua). A colourful display of maze marching was given afterwards by all teams. The president of the Wairarapa Interhouse Association, Mr. L. B. Maunsell, declared the gathering officially opened, and apologised for the absence of Mr. Parrv, M.P., and others. Later Mr. Maunsell presented the major trophies. Visiting championship: Pringles (Pahiatua), 192 points, 1; Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A. Senior, 178, 2; Carthew Hartleys, 174, 3. Best leader: J. Tolley (Judds, Pahiatua) and J. Brabner (Pringles, Pahiatua), 25£ points, equal 1.
