Patriotic Committee Resumes Activities

After a brief respite over the holiday season, all branches of the Women's Patriotic Committee will commence activities for this year on February 1, as advertised in this issue. Another successful year is hoped for after the excellent results of the efforts of the past 12 months. Many woriiers throughout the city and district have assisted nobly in raising money through this organisation for various patriotic purposes, and those who helped with the work of the various branches are to be warmly congratulated on their enterprise. The patriotic shop has been repainted and it is hoped that working conditions will be more pleasant this year. The secretary of the shop committee, Mrs. R. McMurray, states that the dates from February 8 to 16 are vacant and the booking of these and any other dates would be appreciated. It will be noted that ladies who desire to assist the Relatives of Prisoners of War Association are invited to attend the general committee meeting in the National Club room on February 10 at 2.30 p.m. Notification is also given in this issue of the meetings of the A.N.A. Club subcommittees which are incorporated in the Patriotic Committee.
