Manawatu Kennel Club
There was an attendance of 20 at the annual meeting last night of the Manawatu Kennel Club. The president, Mr. J. Learmonth, was xu the chair. Officers for the coming year were elected as follow : —Patron, Mrs. F. J • Nathan; president, Mr. J. Learmonth; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. L C. Aitc bison, T. P. Hart, A. E. Mansfoi J. Hodgens, M.P., J. Lissington, J. Jarrctt, J. A. Nash and Miss M. E. Nathan; general committee, Messrs. G. Lacey, J. Pinfold, J. Jarret, J. Christie, G. Bailey, A. J. Stokes, C. E. Briggs, E. J. Philp, Mcsdames A. J. Curtis, J# Learmonth, J. Pinfold, Misses 3Z. Nathan, M. E. Nathan and M. Bparrow; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. J* Curtis; executive, Messrs. Lacey, Christie, Jarrett, Briggs and Miss M. E. Nathan; assistant secretary, Mrs. Curtis. The question of whether the club should go into recess, or continue its activities during the coming year, was briefly discussed and it was unanimously decided to carry on. The president paid a tribute to the work of the ladies’ committee during the year and congratulated those responsible for the success of the concert conducted in aid of the patriotic funds.
