Feilding British Music Society

SEASON CONCLUDES On Tuesday evening at the Feilding Community Centre the local branch of the British Music Society presented a musical programme which brought to a conclusion the 1941 season. The hostesses fvere Mesdames A. L. Dixon and K. H. Dowrick, while the attractive floral decorations were the artistic work of Mrs. Dowrick. There was a very large attendance of members and friends who showed appreciation of musical items rendered by the following:—Miss Garrett and Mslle. Richard, pianoforte duo; Miss Raynor, vocal solos; Mrs. Rowe and Miss Will, cello duo; Mesdames Short, Sandilands and Dixon, vocal trio; Mrs. Matheson, Miss Hausmann, cello solos; Mr. Shortall, vocal solos; Miss Blanchett, vocal solos; Mrs. Taylor, Misses Whitehead, Humphreys and Grey, pianoforte quartette.

Following the final item Rev. A. L. Dixon (president), expressed thanks to all those who had in any way assisted the society during tho year and hoped it w r ould prosper in the future. The accompanists were Mrs. D. Rowe, Miss Garrett, Miss Humphreys, Mrs. Matheson and Mrs. H. C. Morgan. A successful evening terminated with the serving of supper by the committee.
