Feilding A and P. Show Still in Doubt
MILITARY AUTHORITIES AGAIN CONFER
The military authorities visited Feilding on Tuesday evening and again conferred with the representatives of the Feilding Jockey Club and the Feilding A. and P. Association on the matter of the use of the racecourse for a military camp. The A. and P. Association endeavoured to obtain some definite information as to whether it would be possible to hold the usual live stock show early in February next, but was not successful. The association learned that it could proceed with the arrangements for the annual stud sheep sale in January and for the annual ram fair in February but this w r as as far as the military authorities would go. Miss D. Miller (secretary) said yesterday that it would be at least a week or ten days before anything definite regarding the holding of the show would be known. It is understood that the military authorities visited the showgrounds and racecourse again yesterday.
