Donation The secretary of the Crippled Children Society, Mrs. J. T. Horne, wishes to acknowledge a donation of 10s 6d from the Foresters’ Lodge. Kumeroa Dance The first ot a series of dances run by the Kumeroa-Hopelauds Young People’s Club will be held on Tuesday next. An advertisement appears in these columns. Home Nursing Classes The attention of Red Cross mouubers is directed to an advertisement on this page with reference to the commencement of the home nursing classes. Generous Donation At the Woodville stock sale on Monday, a ton of baled bay, donated by Mr. S. JSkinner, was the medium by wiiich the sum of £l6 10s was raised for the local Red Cross .Sewing Guild, which organisation was in need of funds for tlie purchase of material. Outstanding Bates At yesterday’s meeting of the County Council the clerk (Mr. J. M. Graham) reported that the outstanding rates lor tho current year amounted to £l2 17s 4d, and that tho outstanding rates over the past nine years (mainly Maori rates) totalled £147 7s sd. It was commented that this was a very small percentage of arrears compared with the total amount of rates levied.
