Zamzam’s Passengers in France

LONDON, May 21. One hundred and forty American passengers on the Egyptian liner Zamzam, which was reported to have been sunk by enemy action in the South Atlantic, have landed at Saint Jean de Luz, a German-occupied French port on the Bay of Biscay, just north of the Spanish border. Official German circles declared today that a warship sank the Zamzarn in the middle of April after rescuing tho passengers and crew, who were landed from German merchantmen at a port in Western France. The Berlin spokesman said that United States passengers are expected to be released as soo nas possible, and wiR be allowed to return to the United Staites.
