Soldiers’ Parcels From Feilding
ENCOURAGING RESPONSE FROM ALL QUARTERS There lias been an encouraging response from all quarters to the call for soldiers’ parcels which are to go forward next month to Wellington. Feilding district is expected to provide GOO and already a number have come to hand. The receipt of the following further parcels is acknowledged:—Halcombe Women’s Patriotic Committee, S; Stan way Women’s Institute, 32; Rangiwahia Women’s Institute, S; Apiti and Table Flat Women’s Institutes, IS; Apiti Women’s Institute, I; Kimboltou Women’s Institute, 10; Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. Stringer and M. Entwisle, one. each; Mrs. M. E. Allen, six tins of oysters; Mrs. E. French, shortbread and gingerbread. In addition to the parcels the following cash donations are acknowledged: H. Entwisle 10s, A.D. £l, Miss Wright £l, Mrs. A. Eade £2 2s, Waiata Women’s Institute £3 12s. The Feilding Ladies’ Committee would appreciate donations of suitable biscuits to pack in small tins. Empty tins are also required, such as halfpound tea tins, glucose D tins, or baking powder tins. These should be sent to the Borough Council chambers.
