Mr. E. W. Whitfield, jnr., of Dannevirke, left on Wednesday for Trentham to join the medical corps. Miss Vealo has returned to Wellington after a short visit to the Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Nicholas, McLean Street. Miss A. Grout returned yesterday after a fortnight's holiday spent in Auckland. Mrs. A. Barlow has returned home after visiting her mother and sister at Auckland. Mrs. R. J. Le Bas, Fox Street, accompanied by her infant son, is visiting her parents, Captain and Mrs. Malasch, Trentham. The school dental nurse, Miss M. Douglas, has returned to Woodville after spending some months in the Eketahuna district.
