Granville asked: “Will the Prime Minister consider the appointment of a small Supreme War Cabinet composed of Ministers without departmental responsibility and also statesmen of the calibre of the Australian Prime Minister. Mr Menzies?” M'r Churchill said that at present there was no intention of assembling an Imperial war conference.
