(Rec. 30, 2.55) SYDNEY, April 30. Speaking last night at the launching of the £ 35-million war loan, the actingprime Minister, Mr Fadden, said that, unless the money was ldnt fully and quickly, the Commonwealth could not continue its war effort on the scale necessary to ensure national safety and achieve victory. Mr Fadden hinted that, if the full sum needed could not be obtained by voluntary subscription, the Federal Government might be forced to resort to compulsory powers. “We must have the money, and, Jf It is not coming forward voluntarily, there are other methods of getting it,” he declared. “We are not.going to allow our war effort to lag one iota for want, of money.”
