St. Peter’s Church

PARISHIONERS’ MEETING The annual meeting of .the parishioners of St. Peter’s Anglican Church was held on Monday evening, Rev. F. S. Ramson presiding over a large attendance. The annual reported stated, that the year had been an active one in all branches of the church's activities. The financial statement revealed a sound position, and a large amount of money had been spent on improvements to the buildings and additions to the hall. The number of communicants had shown an increase. The receipts showed a general iucrcaso over the expenditure. Messrs. G. C. Priest and W. W. Co.utts were re-appointed vicar’s warden and peoplo’s warden respectively, and the election of tho vestry resulted: Messrs. \l. W. Belfit, A. C. F. Charles, A. G. Clark, T. R. Crocker, C. S. Elphick, A. R. McKogg, G. M. Ranson, 8. W. RapIcy, E. I. Simms and G. F. Togg. Following the receipt of further substantial monetary promises, it was decided to re-open the question of erecting a new church. These promises cover a considerable amount of the estimated cost. A further effort will bo made at the patronal Festival on St. Peter’s Dav. At the conclusion of the general business a special meeting was held to elect a synodsman for the next three years, Mr. Charles being appointed. After the business a social hour was held, when items wore given by Mesrlamos McPherson (song), Charles and McPherson (pianoforte duet) and Bowick and Charles (vocal duet). A playette, “Tho Bathroom Door,” was read in costume by the members of the Young People’s Club; it was produced bv Miss Ramson.
