Hokowhitu Bowling Club
A social evening was hold at the | Hokowhitu Bowling Club’s pavilion to mark the conclusion of the season. The trophies won during the season were presented by Mrs. A. E. Gardner (wife of the president) as follow: Men’s section: Colts’ cup, A. Palmer; runner-up, .T. Knowles. Open singles. M. Bailey; runner-up, G. Hancock. Handicap singles, G. Handcock; runner-un, E. Voitre. Championship pairs, 11. Gillam and A. T. Russell; runners-up, M. Bailey and ,T. Knowles. Club pairs, L. Maskerv and E. Voitre; runners-up, C. Dahl and A. Palmer. Championship rinks, J. Knowles, A. Gardner, S. Richardson and M. Bailey; runners-up, Lincoln, E. Wvcherley, L. Heatlev, C. Cater. Women’s section: Singles championship (Fleck shield). Mrs. A. E. Stephens. Colts’ cup, Mrs. T. Welch. Cup for mixed pairs, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Body; runners-up, Mr. and Mrs. G. Spinley; unattached pairs, Miss L. Wimsett and K. de Ridder. The president (Mr. Gardner) complimented the winners. Competition winners during the evening were Mrs. \iken, Mr. Richardson and Mrs. Bailey, Miss G. Whitehead, Mrs. Eaglesome, Mrs. Shelley and Mr. Lovett. Mrs. Shelley’s team, Mr. and Mrs. Sheiley and Mrs. Welch, nnd Miss M. Body. Mr. F. Lovett was M.C.
