Social Evening
REV. AND MRS. COATSWORTH HONOURED There was a large attendance at the social evening held in the Alethodist Church on Saturday night, tendered Rev. and Mrs. Coatsworth, who leave Woodville for Motueka to-day. _ The function opened with the National Anthem. Tho members of the Ministers’ Association who were present eulogised the work done by Rev. Coatsworth during his four-year period as minister of the Alethodist Church, and expressed the wish that both 'he and Mrs. Coatsworth would enjoy their stay at Motueka. Other speakers included Airs. E. Martin (Sunday school superintendent), Air. N. Dew, representing the Wesley Guild and the young people of the church, and Air. R. Richards, the latter making a suitable presentation to the retiring officers. Rev. Coatsworth voiced a fitting reply and thanked the speakers for the good wishes expressed. Items were rendered by the Salvation Army women ’s choir, Miss Bdna ■ Olsson (vocal solo), Miss Linda Rich* : ards (elocutionary) and Kev. Moore and Mr. Hartley, Pahiatua (organ duet). I A dainty supper was served by the ladies, after which tho evening concluded with a hymn. Air. L. Cotter preside dover the festivities .
